Have you seen the ELF ON THE SHELF books and shelf that you can purchase at gift shops? I have seen them at Hallmark and also at Barnes and Noble. It follows what many people have posted...the elf moves around each day and reports to Santa at night. It comes with the little elf, the book and a green shelf. It's a little pricey, but very cute. I wish my kids were still little so I could justify getting one and using it during the holidays! ;)

So adorable, I love it, the cutest little elves I have ever seen. You did wonderful work on this, the kids will love it for a long time.

Thank you so much for sharing this...

Christmas was/is always a special time... the only thing I was creative enough to do when the children were small was start humming "Santa Claus is Comin' Tonight" whenever they were thinking about misbehaving.... sigh...

I have never seen the book but my grandson's babysitter apparantly has one. Most of my elves are from around the 1940's or 50's I believe. I have gathered them up at yard and estate sales over the years and I heard they look just like the one that comes with the book.
