I really enjoyed doing it and even did a couple of pieces with some fancy sparkly thread. Sashiko can be addictive.
Where do you get preprinted panels?

    That looks great.

Geri B, you can find the pre-printed panels at equilter.com and shiboridragon.com

This is an interesting technique and great way to learn it...and yes it would be a wonderful guild program...one for my small guild anyway....

    There are loads of sources.

    http://www.maedaimporting.com/catalog/sashiko-pat.php

I got mine mostly from Shibori Dragon and Maeda Importing. But I will say the ink used by the Maeda Importing does not wash out easily and in some cases not at all. Shibori Dragon ink came out with a soak in plain water.

Great choice for a border and it works really well with the Sashiko which I truly love.....very cohesive. Your stitches are so beautifully uniform. Have never done it but do love handwork so will have to try. Is the pattern transferred to fabric by stencil? is it freeform? Is it pounced? Inquiring minds need to know!

Thank you for the links. I really liked the ones I saw on Shiboridragon. I had not seen ones done for themes such as Halloween before and love the one with the hedgehog.
