Sassy's Red Rose of Sharon...quilted by Charisma

Well Sassy Granny sent this to me for LAQ...can we say Spectacular?

This is a BEAUTIFUL quilt! I am always amazed at what people send me..there is so much inspiration and beautiful quilts..all eye candy! I wish I had a mansion just so I could decorate each room around a quilt..don't you? I just love to many quilts..LOL...Good thing I have a job centered around quilts..right?

Anyway..Sassy..wanted Charisma Curls...and also just enough quilting to secure the batting behind the flowers. Those were pretty big areas..so I just went in and gave dimension to each petal ..and kind of outlined..I think it's perfect.

Sassy said the pattern is called "My Rose of Sharon" which came out of Quilter's World Dec. 2010. IN case any of you want to make it....
    Thanks everyone!

Just enhancing the flowers really made them the star of the quilt. You leave me in awe with your wonderful insight into each piece you quilt. It's as though each quilt "speaks" to you. Thank you once again for sharing your beautiful work.

And , it's all mine. I love it. The flower detailing is just perfect. I can't wait to get the binding on and put it on the bed.

Thanks to Charisma for quilting it for me. She is just fantastic.

Sassy Granny~~~this is a very lovely quilt you have made and your quilting request was definitely inspiration to Charisma.....who, needless to say has done an awesome job in accentuating the not only the flowers, but the leaves also. Great job to both of you.

Sassy Granny, your quilt is awesome. I love the variegated tones of the reds in your flowers and the greens in your leaves. I also like how you replaced the black rick-rack with the solid black strips. I am in the process of making this quilt for my Sister and can only hope mine turns out half as nice as yours.
