Oh, I may get in trouble for posting this by some fellow quilters. I had some Friendship Star blocks from a swap I was in, they were 12.5 inch blocks. They were too big for me, beautiful fabrics, but just too big of a block.

So I cut them up and re-assembled them. I really like the look of this quilt top. It is not a traditional pattern but there is a pattern and the colors are wonderful.

    I hope you enjoy.

Well done! I love the way it came out - and great thinking :) It really does go to show that the d4p is great no matter what the block is! I think it adds a bit of fun to it :)

I like it too - can you show us what the original blocks looked like, or have you cut them all up now.

If not, did you do it exactly like the instructions for a D9P?

I like your design. At least you were able to use them. No one should be upset about that.

You could become a pattern designer and make money from this idea. People would buy it. Pretty.

You could call it 'Fractured Stars' and I love it. Great way to make lemonade from your lemons.

Well done, you must be a creative type to think to cut the blocks and re-piece. I love the overall look of this quilt top....cheers

i can't imagine that anyone would be upset about you using your blocks any way you want to. especially when the outcome is this lovely. great job.
