The quilting makes a very pretty quilt just beautiful. I am reminded of a calico dog that my Girl Scout leader had the troop make back in the 50's with many, many 2 ½ inch scraps.

Thanks... I printed it out, and now I have a printed version and several videos. I found another video this morning on this technique by Margo Clabo through The Quilt Show. She has some tips that the other videos didn't include:

Beautiful job on sewing the squares. Tip for next time - use graph pellon. The squares get ironed onto the graph then you fold and sew down the lines. Those squares will be sewed in no time. Joann's use to carry it but now I have to order it on line. It is used a lot in water color quilts.

Very nice. I also like the quilting pattern for squares.

Beautiful quilting. Jenny Doan from MSQC has a good tutorial on putting binding on by machine, I've tried and it works pretty well.

I love working with the 2 1/2" squares and making scrap quilts. Am presently working on one that is just Christmas fabric, but every piece different. I must say that your quilt is fantastic - love the layout. A different look that turned out great. Baby will love it. Thanks for sharing and giving me different ideas.
