Scrappy Car Quilts No. 2 & 3 finished
#23
Weasie, thank you for the photos and the source for the patterns! Lovely work and I like #2 so much. What a terrific way to use up those scraps. The end result is beautiful. Who would ever think that a bunch of scraps can be turned into such an attractive and useful quilt. Thanks for showing off you work!

Pattern for pinwheel scrappy
Hi steelecg ... I didn't have a pattern for the quilt with the pinwheels. I just made the pinwheel blocks and then did a 4 patch block as the second block. I actually just made those two main blocks and arranged them on the design wall. Then added sashing which consisted of strips and 2 1/2" squares. It was just a hit and miss type of design! I really had fun playing with all of the fabrics! I made this one for my daughter who is an artist. She loved it. She'd point to a fabric and ask what was that from. It was great telling her about the different quilts and other quilted projects. I was lucky to have fabrics from her Dad's quilt to use in hers. He passed away in 2014, so that was special. Thanks for asking.

Hi Weasier! I love what you are making here with your scraps. You go girl! Everyone should have a car quilt. What a great idea.
Did you see the dog show yesterday on tv? A boxer was in the running for the best in show after winning best in class. It looked much like cruser.
