It is an easier version of a quilt I saw on the Midnight Quilt Show. The quilt didn’t really have a name....it was just called 2 at a time Half Square Triangle Quilt. I am sure it must have another name but I don’t know what it is, sorry I can’t be more helpful.

I hope your scheme works. The quilt is lovely. If you are really lucky his wife won’t want an old, shredded quilt.
