Scrappy Whirly-Gig from Pieces of Time by Nancy J Martin

Just finished this scrappy quilt for a male paramedic friend of mine who isn't well at the moment and needs cheering up a bit. I hand pieced most of the blocks except for 6, that I did on the sewing machine. It is tacked and please ignore the backing because it is temporarily visible so that I can quilt it more easily. I will be using my domestic machine to do meandering all over with a variegated thread. I hope he will like it.

This will be a lovely, cheerful gift. Great job. I am sure they will be pleased. Thank you for sharing.
Desiderata (Max Ehrmann) - Walk placidly amid the noise and haste and remember what peace there may be in silence. As far as possible without surrender be on good terms with all persons. Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even the dull and the ignorant; they too have their story. Avoid loud and aggressive persons, they are vexations to the spirit.
