2 Christmases ago, my niece and her fiancé gave me 4 laundry baskets full of fabric pieces and scraps. His family didn't have anyone who sews so when his grandma died, they gave it all to me. That spring, for the Bridal Shower, I made these pillows for their 2 beige couches and in green. I put all of them in 2 white trashcan bags, like a snowman, a white balloon head&face with netting "veil" to represent a bride. As she opened the gift, I explained that I had used Grandma's fabrics. All of a sudden, all the women in her fiancé's family were in tears and exiting the room; I thought, oh no, maybe I should have told her about the fabric later. But, all during the rest of the party, those women kept coming up and thanking me over and over and over, in fact, they still did a month later at the wedding! So, I guess I 'did good"!
