SewingSew: the pattern can be purchased at Pacific Rim Quilt Company alone or in a fabric pack, I purchased a fabric pack I fell in love with the Hoffman digital panel that goes from light in center to dark, it came with 2 spools of Aurifil thread that matched perfectly. Also be sure to check out the blog as there are some great tips and stories.

That's jaw-dropping beautiful! That would have taken me a lifetime to complete. I can't wait to see your next one finished. It must be a real thrill to take a class from Nancy Chong. Thanks so much for sharing your beautiful quilt with us.

Thank you so much for the info. I went to the site and see several things that I like a lot. The Hoffman digital panel you mentioned must be Supernova. Nancy Lee Chong has a dvd needle turn tutorial on this site as well. I'll be keeping a look-out for the next quilt using red that you mentioned.

Yes it was the Hoffman Supernova I used for the background. If you decide to order a pattern to make I highly recommend purchasing one of her DVDs. Just make sure you get the right one for your project as the layout for the 2 Fabric applique and the Hawaiian Quilt applique are different; after you get the layout done the needle turn applique and quilting are the same. If you get a chance at a quilt show make sure to visit their booth, Connie is wonderful to talk to and if you ever get an opportunity to take a class from Nancy it is well worth it.

Again thank to all of you who have looked at this quilt and don't be intimidated it is much easier than it looks.
