Yes it was the Hoffman Supernova I used for the background. If you decide to order a pattern to make I highly recommend purchasing one of her DVDs. Just make sure you get the right one for your project as the layout for the 2 Fabric applique and the Hawaiian Quilt applique are different; after you get the layout done the needle turn applique and quilting are the same. If you get a chance at a quilt show make sure to visit their booth, Connie is wonderful to talk to and if you ever get an opportunity to take a class from Nancy it is well worth it.

Again thank to all of you who have looked at this quilt and don't be intimidated it is much easier than it looks.
