after the two baby blanket my whole family wanted blankets too. My sister took care of our mother the last three years (died of alzheimer last year) and this is a thankyou wallhanger (our parents and the house we grew up) for her next birthday on April 1st.
The disappearing ninepatch is for my son. It is basted in the meantime and as I am quilting it by hand I am looking for a floor stand hoop and he wont get it before next christmas.

Your wallhanging is so very touching. I love how you placed everything.

Both these quilts are wonderful. The photos in the 'windows' are done in such an interesting way and I really like the way you quilted the borders....it emphasizes the 3-d effect. It is a wonderful memory quilt and a great way to say thank you to your sister.

The D9P is one of my favorite patterns. I like the colors you used and the border treatment. Good job.

The wallhanging is wonderful...so thoughtful and caring.
The D9P is so versatile...I really like how this one turned out. Nice work on both!

thank you all so much. The bright fabric in the window and the two brightest frames is a daisy print. The german name for daisy is margerite and this is also the name of my sister. All thats missing is the label and I think I also will go by that name for the quilt. The stiching needs some improvment
The idea with the multiple frames and the quiltinglines came from a lady on a german quiltforum. There you get to ask for advice but no way of just showing off your work with a loud: look what I made..............

What an excellent job! And a wonderful idea to name the quilt after your sister. I like both, but especially the attic windows.

As for not being able to post pictures on the other forum, put them here! We'll all cheer for you!
