I made this Serviceman Banner to display while our son was deployed, then donated it to an EOD (Explosive Ordnance Disposal) Memorial Fund. The close-up of the EOD crab was taken before I finished quilting and adding metallic thread.

An added and surprise "bonus" was that some of the white stripes glow in the dark!

Very nicely done. How funny that some of the white fabrics glow in the dark!

I got some color changing thread recently, but haven't tried it yet. It looks white, but when the sun hits it, it changes colors. I saw some glow in the dark thread from the same vendor, but didn't get any.

I have seen glow in the dark fabric around Halloween time, but not sure I've seen it in white before. I bet your quilt looks awesome glowing in the dark. Our service men and women are working day and night, so I think it is very fitting to have glow in the dark fabrics so your quilt can be seen day and night.

Beautiful..

Your house looks wonderful with your patriotic things all on display.. I love patriotic, it's my favorite! Comes from having a husband in the Navy for 32 years and a son in the Army..

The banner is wonderful.

Cool. I made the lap throw version of that magazine pattern. Love it. Adding the crab was a great idea.
