It is a beautiful quilt. I can imagine how you feel to have it done at last. My first one took ten years with lots of other baby quilts in between for nieces and nephews. It is a good looking quilt.

Really cute. We welcome you to the Sunshine State. It was worth the wait to finish. It's great.

Outstanding work! It's really beautiful! You will definitely need a quilt during Florida's winters. We lived there for 10 yrs. and had a few chilly nights to wrap up in a quilt.

LOL! Yes, it will! LOL!

We're originally from the San Francisco Bay area, where you don't experience significant seasonal changes, either, so we're used to it. We've lived in extreme conditions (North Dakota, for exampe) where you get seven months of snow, and Spring, Summer and Fall are just crammed into five months. Nebraska is the only State we've lived in where you see a distinct change in seasons. I can take it or leave it. We're anticipating on living in Florida for only two years, though, then the Air Force will move us, again.
My nephew was in the Air Force stationed in Destin for a while. He's now out of the service and is an ordained priest. His mom and siblings love Florida so they still go there guite frequently. One of the sisters recently moved to Florida. The other sister emailed a picture of her deck this morning. Snow, snow, snow. She's in Colorado. You will definitely know what kinds of weather you prefer by moving about as you do. Good luck in the move and keep us posted. That quilt is gorgeous.

My first quilt was 7 years in the making also, only mine wasn't nearly as pretty as the one you made.

Hi ethel...great quilt...even greater is that you finished it!
I live in Florida, so welcome. There are advantages vs. dis.adv. anywhere, but this is where I have called home, most of my life,...nearly all. I know you will love it here. You can always go visit the snow...and we have corn fields too, in case you miss those.
PPl think fla. is all beach and sand and orange trees. NOPE...not at all.
It's not all hurricanes either, although, that is a huge disadvantage.
How did you decide to make such a long distance move? family here?
We moved from n. hampshire originally, and that was the reason. fell in love. :D
