well, i find this whole thread very interesting.
Tiffany, yeah, the 'pick it out with your nose thing'...hilarious!
...and who says we'll have noses in heaven. Your probably right, they have been too handy down here, to many, for sticking where they don't belong. lol...still makes me crack up.
Patrice...just love your analogy to the old commercial...things that make you go...hmmm! lol
It's a personal thing. I complain that sometimes my sewing becomes work, but that's just me blah-blah-blahing. I choose to go to church as often on Sundays that i can, but quilting being a 'sin?' I don't buy that.
It's an elective and you sit, most of the time, anyway, on your butt to do it. They fed the animals. So, if I get surprised and end up with my nose in my quilts, well, good thing I'll have forever to do it, cause my nose is pretty round.

I, too, was raised by a superstitious mother. Never start a sewing project on Friday or you would never finish it. We got together on Sunday as a family and all of the women sewed on their projects, even though my mother said we should just observe a day of rest. Sewing is fun; so we did it.

well, since i didn't see any "quota-on-#-of-opinions", police, I'm ringing in again...quilting is about loving and giving.
Even if I make one for my bed, it's for hubby, REALLY, cause if it were just mine...oh baby, I would make a pink one with roses...but I can't do that to him...so i did it with the other bathroom, lol!!!
might as well, he kept saying, your on my chair !

Don't feel old....in the town where I live now all the shops and most of the restaurants along the main street are closed on Sundays. And I don't consider 9800+ people a one horse town. The big box stores on the outer edge of town are still open. Rather not shop on Sunday, that's why I quilt on Sundays!!!
