Beautiful job. I have been following her blog for a while now and just love her unique designs. I have some black batting so I might just have to try one of her designs with it. Thanks for sharing your work.

You did a wonderful job. I haven't gotten up enough courage to try this yet. Sandy 64

Thank you all! I've started work on a slightly larger version, so stay tuned for more.

Way Cool quilt - thanks for sharing your terrific learning experience! I saw a book at our library about this technique with celtic knot designs a few years back, but didn't have energy to try it at the time, though it intrigued me. Love this board, cause I can do all these things vicariously that I don't have time and energy for Am retiring in 2 weeks - maybe then I'll get my round-tuits!

Beautiful quilt. I have been wanting to try that technique but haven't gotten around to it. After reading your post I think I may need to find a class! Are you going to do a larger quilt now?

Yes, Polly, I'm working on one now that is about 24 x 30 inches or so and have been experimenting more with my technique. I have to say that felt is a miracle fabric to use in place of batting for trapunto! I got that idea, as well as using toile for the background layer, from Karen McTavish's "Elemental Quilting" book & DVD. I should have that one done by next week sometime if all goes well.
