Thank you for the wonderful words. I think it is amazing how you can use a few blocks that someone was going to throw away and create something that will be loved by a child going through an emotional situation. I am the one blessed to be able to do this. Wish I could see them smile.

Never underestimate the power of quilts. They provide comfort and warmth unlike anything else. For some children, it is their only possession. My heart breaks when I see pics of children carrying their few possessions in a paper bag. Our local AARP group purchased small suitcases a yard sales and donated them to agencies who dealt with children in transition. At least they had something of their own to store their few possessions in.

You really made a beautiful quilt and I quite like the placement of the color blocks - very modern looking. If you had not said anything, I would have thought it was designed that way.
