Yes, talk her down. If the motor is bad you can get a handcrank mechanism from Billy and convert it. Would be nice if she has the top.

I have the plates for the machine if she doesn't have it and if the motor is bad I might have the motor for it if you don't want to convert it to a hand crank. But it is definitely worth the money!!

It is a Singer 128 and is a Vibrating Shuttle machine which honestly does not need a motor on it to begin with. trust me when you hit the gas you will know what I am talking about you will be chasing it all over the place!! But I have all the parts for that machine if your needing anything so jump on it if you want it it is well worth the money!!

I say buy it only if you have a strong desire for it. And since dh can fix it, might be a great addition for a collection.
