Signature quilts and baby quilt
#12
I don't know the name of the quilt block, but what I did, was to take 10 inch squares, think they are called layer cakes, and cut out a 3 inch strip, figuring out how diagonal you want to go. Then I used the white strip, cut at 3 1/2inches and sew them in. Think it squared at like 9 1/2. I used the cut pieces for most of the binding. I didn't sew those pieces together the way you should, which would lose too much material, but I did use the slant of the cut. Hope this explains it, if not, just pm me.

I know the quilts have been very time comsumming but just think how wonderful it will be to see everyone. I wish my family would still get together as we did when we were growing up and lived closer. Your quilts are great.

Wow! Is your motto "Sleep is overrated"??? LOL! You have been a busy, busy gal! And with wonderful results! I love all your quilts but especially the "square" signature quilt. Is that a pattern of your own design or is it a "known" pattern? If you designed it, you should do a tutorial on it because it's hreat! Have fun at all your reunions! And thanks for sharing your pix with us!
