Which is why I wasn't going to make it bed-size --LOL Lukewarm, gentle cycle and hang to dry I imagine. And if she just uses it on top of the bed maybe she won't have to launder it too often --if the cat stays out! LOL Definitely not practical.

Good for you!! Can't imagine sewing lame on the bias. I hate working with it, frays so much is is just miserable to work with. But it does look nice!
First off, the lame is backed with woven fusible interfacing --then it is all cut in WOF strips -- all three fabrics. Only bias edges are on the triangles and they are easy. Lame is woven so not really any more difficult than the cotton other than in the pressing and needle choice --I use metafil when working with it.

I commend you for working with lame. I worked with it once and absolutely hated it. Your pineapple is very pretty.

Dittos. Although I suppose putting a fusible interface on it would make it more user friendly. I just got so turned off the one time I used it I swore off it for good. Maybe it deserves another go around to use as embellishment. Very pretty block.
