The panel is "Hungry Animal Alphabet" by J. Wecker Frisch for Quilting Treasures. I am using this panel and wanted to embroider the names of all the items in each panel on the quilt to make it an 'I Spy' but I don't have time. Hopefully parents will point out everything to the baby.

I have made cheater quilts in the past. Nothing wrong with that. Thanks for posting.

I would have a hard time cutting this panel up. All quilts don't have to be hundreds of small pieces. Looks great!

I bought five or six of these panels and still have a couple. Here is what I did on one of them. I, too, love the artist's illustrations!
I cut up the panel squares and used them like the covers of a book. This view is of the inside. Each "book" closed with either a piece of Velcro, a large snap, a button or a shoestring tie, shortened so as to not create a hazard.

Very clever of you to make a book of the blocks.

Love that panel.

I bought it a few years ago, chopped it up and made it into a cloth book for my granddaughter. She has many hours of fun looking at the pictures.....so do I.
