Love this quilt! Simply beautiful ... the colors, layout, different designs. You should be very proud of your design. As GingerK noted, I too like the negative space. Congrats!

What a wonderful quilt! Absolutely beautifully done. It is the kind of quilt you could spend hours looking at, and never tiring.

Absolutely adorable! The similar fabrics help pull it all together and I like the negative space that allows each element to shine.

Did EQ8 help you with color/fabric placement along with figuring out what to add in around the blocks?

I have a collection of 1920s and 1930s fabric and doing something like this would be fun. I have not wanted to just do a one pattern quilt. Just doing an assortment of blocks of both piecing and applique could add a fresh twist.

Yes, EQ8 was fantastic for both. Made it super easy to move blocks around and adjust sizing, adding filler strips and distributing color. This was my first project in EQ8 and I designed basic layout in a day...I've since designed more quilts Lol...

I just love it! I have 3 daughters and 3 young granddaughters, 10, 5 and 4. I am so inspired I can't even tell you! I have made a commitment to make quilts for my granddaughters every year. Last year I made Pretty Playtime Quilts and the year before that I made them name quilts using Moda's Spell It Booklet. Why am I telling you all this? I don't know but I have ideas buzzing around in my head and thanks for linking up Charise Creates blog. I immediately put it in my blog folder!
