Sandy, squishies are soft packages of fabric, or a little quilt that someone sends you in the mail. Because it's fabric, it's soft and you can "squish" it, kinda like Mr. Whipple squeezed the Charmin! :mrgreen:

A firmie is a package that has a book, or magazine in it. It obviously doesn't squish.

If you get a mixed bag (both fabric and books or other gifty things) you can decide whether you want to call it a squishy or a firmie!

They are really fun to get, and most of the time are a complete surprise to the recipient.

Some people call fabric they have ordered and receive in the mail squishies, but most of us just refer to it as "look what I ordered!"
