Oh Man! I am currently making chair cushions and table topper from fabric with a different game bird on it. Couldn't find any quail fabric and I really wanted it as we have quail art in the dining room.

DH used to hunt them when we lived in SoCal. And we loved to eat them so the dining room was the right place for the quail art - admire their beauty and tastiness at the same time LOL

I'll have to get some when it's available!

Quail usually are in small little herds so to speak - and they love to hide in the bushes and when you get close they all fly out at once - scares the daylights out of you. I think they eat off the ground usually grass seed or such - the babies are really cute - they look like fluffballs with little tiny legs - I like the fabric.

There are also some Bobwhites pictured :) Several of my friends raise them for meat, though a permit from the state is required.

Might the quail be ptarmigans rather than quail. They look a little big for quail. Beautiful fabrcics...do any of them come in flannel?

Great quail fabric and the grasses, sky, etc, are perfect for a little wall hanging I want to make for DH with lighthouses. When does it become available?

Here's a good site showing the different quail species. Pretty little bird.

PS - no these aren't ptarmigan.
Below is a pic of ptarmigan.

I really love these fabrics. My husband is a hunter of quail, and other game birds and he would love something made from these.
