Heres one corner of the scuba quilt. It is comming along nicely, the shark goes on today and hopefully DH can get the scub diver drawn this weekend. Meantime I can go to the machine and stitch the pieces on. What stitch would you use to attach? Buttonhole, satin stitch or just a zigzag. I wanted to try a little thread painting with this project too. Hope I don't mess it up!

I used the free applique tropical fish pattern from http://fatcatpatterns.com/Aquatic%20Designs.html and we did the grasses and corals freehand. Wait until you see the shark, hes's just spectacular and will be lurking behind the grasses and coral reef above.

Wow, in my next life I want to be able to draw (in addition to being tall and thin). I can't wait to see the next phase!

Very beautiful and creative! Be sure to post a pic of the shark as soon as he's done. Oh, and personally, I like the Buttonhole stitch on the applique.

I love your quilt. I posted a photo of a turtle jacket I made a couple of weeks ago and am getting ready make a baby quilt using the theme on the backside of the jacket. I think I will add the tropical fish you found on FatCat. Great Job. Love all your quilts.
