The fabric you 'made' is very pretty. I'd love to have some just like it.

OMG, I live in the lake effect snow belt of upstate NY and have lots of snow. I have never heard of snow or ice dying before; what a waste of 5 to 7 feet of snow every winter. LOL
I am eager to read the tutorial as I have a good amount of white fabric and I don't like using white in my quilts. This will be a great way to make the white more appealing!

melodyr, could you use the powdered Rit dye that is available at grocery and craft stores for this process?

Melodyr your fabrics are beautiful! I have ice-dyed and snow-dyed and love them both, though I haven't gotten anything made yet with mine.
Kathy the "shaving cream" sounds interesting would you let us know more about?

wildwoodflower12390, I used 2 colors. One was lapis and turquoise and on a second piece I used french blue and indigo. I've found that the process works best with 2 to 3 colors and rarely use more than 3...more than that just tends to muddy up. Here 's some snow dye pieces that I did several years ago. I'll try to get some ice dye images up too...they are much brighter.

Love your snow dyed fabric. We haven't had snow here for a quite a while so guess I need to try the ice dyed.
