Very pretty. Yes, the quilting does make an interesting pattern on the back. Your friend will be nice and snuggly.

Wow! Every single seam on the back is exactly in the same place on the quilting! You're really GOOD!!! I couldn't do that if my life depended on it! Excellent!!!

Oh sure you could. It's the nature of quilting, and especially when doing the easy QAYG method I now use. I haven't done the free motion or even stitch in the ditch because for me, this is the very easiest. I just sit my quarter inch foot on the piecing seamline and that puts my stitching to outline, (well actually usually it's inside the block so is that inlineing?) right at 1/4" and I just go around the shapes I want to emphasize. Since I am only using the top and a fleece backing, I don't have to be concerned with getting the quilting a certain number of inches close together. There is no batting to stabilize.
By doing just a section at a time, it is much easier to handle for the quilting. This quilt I did one row at a time which is 4 sections, and then last I am adding the bindings so that makes the 5th.

I love your bird quilt, it is really pretty, and I love the back as well. Great job on it.
