AMEN-couldn't agree with you more! I have never made a quilt to someone else's specifications, nor do I plan to. Why would I want to when I can do the 'math' at home and come up with a one of a kind creation instead of a cookie-cutter one.

You need to reword that "home designed" to Designer Originals. I made my DGD's purses I designed myself and printed hangtags stating that they are Designer Originals by me.

The one thing I've learned in life is that if I do it, or make it, I have to like it and that's all that matters. But I love yours. And I love mine, imperfections and all.

I love your creativity! But the black and white with red is my favorite - very eye cataching!

Me too...I really like using random blocks and putting together a quilt top.

Be creative. Throw the books and magazines away for a change!!

By profession, I am a chef. A recipe is a basic guideline, you add this, take away that, and come up with a signature dish. Quilting, for me, is the same way. I start with an idea for a block, and away we go. Isn't that what we all do?
