:-D :-D :-D Here are some of the gifts my sister and I made for Christmas gift. for our mother we made a two memory pillows and one is of the old farm house we lived in 60 years ago and the other one is of Mom's family when they were much younger. I showed my sister how to print on the fabric sheets and then the next day I cut the strips and she sewed it all into these pillows. I made some checkbook covers for the girls and some ear warmer for the guys. Then we had the tree and the cheese box that Santa always kept filled for us for Christmas. We got such a charge out odf seeing it filled once again as adults. It was a really nice time. There is also a pictiure of the spricy spiral table runner I made for Sis. I have been gone a week and a half. Enjoy, HUggies, Fay

I love the memory pillows ! What a special gift ! The ear warmers and checkbook covers and table runner are awfully nice gifts as well, and look so well made. Did you have a pattern for the ear warmers ? Nice that the cheese box brought such warm memories.

The checkbook covers are a pattern from Amy Butlers' book called Style Stitching. It is a hardback book I found at Joanns and it is choc full of patterns on purses and small pouches and the like. The check book covers are in that book. My sister does hand embroidery and she did that after she made the big block for the pillows. I made some purses and some runners for some of the other folks, but those pictures did not turn out very well at all. Yes the old cheese box. it was always under the tree filled with nuts when we were children and it looked soooo big too. Now as we are adults it does look a little small. Well to a child, every thing looks big. We haven't had Christmas with Mom for years and our brother and his family were there too so it was real nice. Every one have a great day, Huggies, Fay.. oh there is a tute I posted on the ear warmers in the tute section.
