    Well here it is; another cyber-dare.... It took me 15 minutes to turn the bag inside out, wash with laundry detergent and sun dry. Another 15 minutes assembling it, but I didn't measure anything, just cut and zig-zagged everything. It is permeated on the inside with a greasy residue, which has coated my sewing machine. It still smells. I challenge anyone else to this project. In my opinion, a complete waste of 30 minutes. If someone were to send me something in a recycled dog or cat food bag I would mark the package, "Refused. Return to Sender." It is that gross to me. I would be insulted.

    I wondered about about the smell and residue also...

    Wash it out with 409. Looks like a challenge from Project Runway..its way cute though.

    Try turning it inside out again and dousing it with a degreaser. Use the hose on it and let sun dry...line with a garbage bag to prevent any leftover odors.....or just toss out.... :roll: :oops: :cry: better yet you can just use it to collect the "deposits" from the dog... :roll:

    I wondered the same about my cat litter bags, they are the same kind of material. We go through two of those a month and it seems like there should be something we could do with the bags.

    It's really cute, but the smell would bug me too. What a great way to recycle though!

    Ahhhhhhh thats okay I'll take your word for it. It is cute and I am a dog freak but I think I'll make mine out of material.

    Oh I think it is soooo cute!! I would use one! But I would use Dawn to get rid of the greasy feel and then you could seal the inside with a coat of spray polyurethyne.Once dry that will kill the smell. I love it!!
