This is the quilt that I put together for a wedding gift for our son. The blocks we appliqued by my husband's grandmother when she was around 90 or 91. She passed on at 93. She had made this set for the fellow who did her machine quilting. When he and his wife found out our son was getting married they made the decision to give the blocks to me to finish up for a wedding gift. (he is the one who does my quilting also) I set the blocks up and sent it to the quilter just like she had done some many times before. It was the perfect wedding gift that had many hands making it possible. There wasn't a dry eye in the hall when they heard the story behind the quilt. Grandma Lucy had made many, many wedding quilts in her time.
