    Default Southwest quilt update...

I just put the last border on my Southwest quilt. The pattern is Navajo by Blanche White. I made the quilt for a twin sized bed, but when I laid it on the bed, the pattern just disappeared...only the center diamond remained, the rest was on the side of the bed. It isn't what I wanted.

So I have made it larger to fit a queen sized bed. The problem is that I don't have a large enough space to take a proper picture of it, neither on my design wall or on any floor in my house. But my quilt inspector and I did the best that we could, and here is what my quilt now looks like. You can't see all of the outer border, but it is black. Currently it is five inches wide, but it may end up being less than that.

I want to thank all of you who helped with all my questions along the way. I seemed to need a lot of hand holding on this one. Luckily I know just the place to come.

Hey Dina, you got approval from your quilt police so why ask us?? You selected the right widths and fabrics for you borders. Another great quilt. Are you still willing to make a duplicate for the other bed???

No, originally I wanted two twin-sized quilts for beds in one room. Now the quit is going in a room with a queen sized bed. No need for a second quilt. Though I now worry I have mismeasured and it is too large. It is 94 inches x 106 inches. Guess I need to just put it on the bed it is designed for and see what I figure out, huh?

Good job of redoing for the queen size.
It should cover the mattress and box spring with a couple inches to spare...which should disappear once washed.
