How I miss springtime in Texas with all the wildflowers. Their beauty is almost indescribable. Lived in San Antonio and Houston for many years and a drive into the hill country was a must every year. If you have a chance, please post some of those pictures as the season develops.

My Sis lives in Spring, its such a cute town. I want to make a lonestar for her made from Bluebonnet fabric, but haven't found the one yet I want, have thought about running pictures off onto muslin, I tried but ran out of ink, now need a new cartridge, will get it this week.

Oh my goodness! I just took a walk around the yard and I was amazed to find that my rose bushes all have buds popping out all over, one even has tiny leaves open! The iris are up about 5 inches, same for daylillies, even saw a couple sprouts of Princess Lily, and the wildflowers are popping out too. What a great sight that was to see!! I wasn"t expecting the roses to bud quite yet, so now tomorrow I will have to get out and trim them all back to a reasonable size. Right now they stand about 5 feet high!

We have daffs, magnolias, Bradford Pears, pink blooming trees (maybe cherries, I'm not really sure), but no redbuds yet! It's cold again today, we've got the heat on. Well it's 57, I suppose it's not really cols, just feels that way.

Wonder how I got this is two posts??? Thank you for the lovely comments. It is really a beautiful time of the year. I've been thinking for a couple of years about how to put some photos into a quilt. I have some ideas and when I get through when about four UFOs I'm going to try them. I even bought some Printed Treasures today for that purpose.
