Spring is coming

It's a bit rainy today just north of Houston where I live , but spring is making itself known. We've had robins and lots of birds for weeks, but I thought I'd share a few cheerful pictures that I took yesterday. Maybe it's time to look through the spring-tinted fabric....
About a mile from my home this pretty bluebonnet blooms alongside the road. ..the very first I've seen this year,

This pink magnolia, or tulip tree, has been blooming since my husband gave it to me on Valentine's Day.

I hoped a bird would perch on this pretty redbud tree but they're too busy at the feeders.

One friend told me his tulips are still covered in snow. A lot of bulbs here bloomed a couple of weeks ago. It is rather rainy today, but the flowers need it!
As for my camera, these were taken with a Pentax K200 that I've had several years. I have a Sigma DG 70-300 lens. (I also have a couple of others--including a small Kodak Easy Share--that I use sometimes.) These digital cameras do a lot of the work for picture-takers!.

As for a picture of the snow in your yard, sure! We get excited about a tiny flurry here and snow is so beautiful. If only it were warmer! When my son was about 18 months old--32 now!--I remember a trip to Wyoming. We stopped alongside the road in Colorado and he was so excited until he actually touched the snow. I think he expected it to feel like cotton balls.
