St. Patrick's Day Table Topper/Wall Hanging

I had some orphaned blocks from a Block of the Month I attended about 5 or 6 years ago. I wasn't really thrilled with the color and didn't finish out the entire year. While sorting through my UFO's I found them and decided to turn them into a St. Patrick's Day table topper. I made the center shamrock block then sashed and bordered them all with clover fabric from my stash. I will send it off to the quilter then bind it in the dark green. Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone! Peggy

These are great blocks! And the clover fabric for the borders is ideal. It will look wonderful when you get the binding on. That will be the perfect finishing touch.

Beautiful topper. What pattern is the middle block on the top row? I love love love it. Don't you love when you find a UFO and it works perfectly after walking away from it for awhile?

Great choice on your borders and neat shamrock in the center
    Happy Sewing

As I mentioned this was a block of the month class I took several years ago. I will see if I still have a copy of the instructions somewhere in my old files. I think the shop owner may have designed the block in EQ. Peggy

You did a great job on this. What is this about you not liking the color. Green is great. I'm a MARSHALL UNIVERSITY
fan and it is said that we bleed green. So I love this quilt.

Some of you have asked me for the block patterns I used for this table topper. Here is the link to the quilt shop that did the block of the month. http://floydandlizzies.com Since they still sell some of their block of the month patterns, they did not want me to include them as "free patterns" on my blog. Give them and call and ask for Daniel. 801-255-4130 By the way, this was the 2007 block of the month. The center shamrock was not part of the BOM, I added that. Peggy

Oooh... that's beautiful! See? Those UFO blocks were just waiting to be reborn as this spectacular quilt! The luck of the Irish!
