Oh, how well, do I know about that fusible being hard to get a needle through. I made a small wall hanging about a month ago, and ended up pushing the needle clear through the top of my thumbnail. You can still see the spot.

Wow, I will look for something else next time. I used the Steam-A-Seam. I should have used the light, but being me, I always find out too late. LOL

you did good. the idea of the little red threads in the fan does look like part of a real fan. That is a beautiful quilt. one that is sure to be in the family for a long time.
