Thank you sooo much for sharing your DGD's precious story. I also believe that God works all things for good. It is so hard to see when we go through what we judge to be terrible circumstances. Then we find out years later that God has made that circumstances work for everyone's good. God bless all of you!
The quilt is beautiful! I wish you could catch the look on her face when your DGD's face when she sees it.

A very special quilt indeed....lovely bright fabrics, I am sure your grand-daughter will treasure it. Thank you for sharing your family story....what could have had heartbreaking results, instead, due to well-thought decisions and obviously a ton of love, turned into goodness. Now that is something!

Grandma, what a lovely, touching story. Adoption and open adoption work for some. What an amazing gifts; of life and from the heart.

I work as a labor and delivery nurse. I see many different situations. Some similar to yours, and others that accept what God has given them, even though, from unorthodox situations.

I'm not an overly religious person, but believe that everything happens for a reason. Your daughter made a very grown up decision at such an early age. She is blessed to have the heart, strength, and courage she showed. If you desire, please tell her what an amazing woman she is/was.
