Which picture is more true to the colors? That is the one I would go with. They are magnificent!! Love them alot and I know the quilt will be gorgeous!!

It almost seems like the auto setting shows your blues better, but the daylight setting shows your oranges and reds more.
I say, use both every time
(then we get to see more piccies!) lol... :XD: very beautiful, blocks, Marilyn. I love them.
If I ever get a roundtuit, would you be offended or flattered if I used your colors? slurp :-P

Hi Mousie!
Thank you!!! You're right, each setting has its fine points. I like it when you can see the brightness. I would be flattered if you used my colors in something you make. I love matching up colors. Thanks for your compliments and comments.

Hi everybody! Well, it's time to show you the Chain block. I think this is going to be one awesome (and bright!) quilt.
Here is the setting block, the Chain.
Now you will see why I had to make at least 4 of the star blocks before I could make the Chain block. Pretty cool, huh?

Here is the Chain setting block. See how it combines the colors from the 4 surrounding stars to be made. I think it is really pretty! 5-23-10

Here is the Chain block, surrounded by the first 4 star blocks. I love the way it ties it all together. Plus, you can tell now how the pattern will be continued to make those star blocks look really big!

Hi Ella,

Thank you so very much! I think it is beautiful too. I love bright colors. I have an old pattern for this quilt. It is a "Spinning Spools: A Pattern Club for Quilters Copyright 1991 Oxmoor House, Inc." pattern. Does anyone know if I would be in copyright violation to do a tutorial on it? If there is no "conflict of interest" or anything, I would be happy to do a tutorial.
Does anyone know how I would find out even? Let me know.

Marilyn
