This is some of the pot holders and table runners (found a link for the table runners on the forum) I am making for my family for Xmas. I have been working on them for about a week - working full-time and so hot and humid here at the moment taking a bit longer than I thought.
    Thank you for looking :)

BevD those are great. I recognise some of that material, I think I bought some too. Love the pot holders. Did you use a special batting in them?
I also love your avatar. Is that a quilt you have made? I'd love to make one of those.

I really like the green potholders.

Keep forgetting that it's SUMMER now in the southern hemisphere.

My sister lives in Australia; and I find it hard to think of what it would be like to have Christmas in the summer. Since we have always pictured it with snow and cold.

Lovely gifts!!! Your potholders look perfect!!!
We had one of the hottest, humid summers on record and I was not in the sewing/quilting mood at all.
We normally have a frost by the end of October and we have only had one so far.
This week is sunny in the 60's and dropping to the 30's at night and I am loving it!!!!

    Very Nice Bev

My daughter lives 350km south of Adelaide and she's been saying how hot it is too. Here on the 'sunny' Gold Coast we've had rain, and rain...and more rain and temps of 20 to 25C

Your table runners and pot holders are really nice. Neatly done, too. I can't imagine a hot, humid Christmas. I think that I would like to try it sometime, though. I don't really like snow, but we are just cold here.

    Hey MrsB,
Thanks for that, I used 1 piece of InsulBright and 1 piece of batting in the potholders. Have tried some and they work very well.
My avatar is a quilt I made for my friend's 50th birthday in October this year. I saw a small mini quilt similar and adapted it to a lap size in her favorite bright colors. First very bright one I have made.

Thank you cherylynne, hopefully it will be just hot/warm and not humid for Christmas. We don't get much humid weather down south here but when we do it really hits you. I prefer the cold myself, don't get snow where I am but would love one day to experience a white christmas. Make a nice change LOL
