Started a Daunting Project!

This weekend, I finally plucked up the courage to start making the blocks for a quilt that I have designed. It has a Moroccan theme so the colours I'm using are jewel colours. I am writing the pattern as I go and making test squares with scrap fabric to test my math before taking the plunge and making the final blocks. These are my first blocks and I am happy with them even though I am struggling to match the seams perfectly. Hopefully, by the end of the quilt, I will be a master at lining them up! It's a daunting project and quite scary at times because I have never created a pattern before, but I keep reminding myself that it's only fabric and the idea is to have fun!!

Don't even worry about those seams as they look perfect to me. That's so exciting to create your own pattern. Keep going & show us progress as you go. It's going to be beautiful.
