I like the one on the left. It has a little more negative space and give your eye a resting spot from the busy center. That quilt is GORGEOUS! I LOVE IT!!!

for what's it's worth, I like both borders but I think the sq's make the quilt pop, and the strip of rectangles blend more. I go for the pop!

This is an awesome quilt. Who would have thought the log cabin could look like this! Your colors are awesome! Think I would at least use a solid black border, then maybe follow up with the border that has the small colored squares. There really is no "loser" with this quilt. Whatever you choose will be stunning.

I am sorry,,,I would just make a 4" black border and call it DONE...or it will get too busy for the eyes...the quilt is bold enough..it doe not need any more visual conflicts...make it look like it is floating in the sky....like a firework!

Wow that's stunning, how did you do it? I would go with a black border.

You took my breath away. This is my type of quilt - bright, bright, bright.
I don't think it needs more color in the border - would take one's eye away from the center. If you feel you must have color just the small squares.
    Your quilt is stunning.

Oh yeah, that is right up my alley! I'm bookmarking this one! I like the border on the left, the bright squares in the black.
    Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful!

    solid black is better
your eyes are already busy looking at all the colors
it needs a place for the eyes to rest
but if you want color do the longer strips

Wow! fabulous colours! I love the border with the little blocks of colour but both are beautiful.
Could you tell me the name of your fabrics if they were all from one company?

I love your "Disabled does not mean unable". Love the quilt, and I like the border with squares. I think it adds that "little something" to finish it off.

Gorgeous! When I saw the first photos I was thinking that it didn't need a border, but I really like the little squares. They don't take away from the main design because they're not overwhelming.

Your border to the left looks perfect to me.
Love the crispness of the color choices.
