I have never cared for browns in a quilt, just not my color, but that quilt is gorgeous. I love it !!!!

I decided to use the cocoa thread in the light areas too. I kept going back and forth about using that or a light neutral and finally decided that the spines are mainly in the dark fabric so, dark thread would be best.

The feathers will go all the same direction around each circle and in the blocks that are between them the feathers will all end up going the opposite direction. Hard to explain but it will be apparent when I get to the next row (I did it on paper first!).

I am so in love with this Quilt!! It would be so amazing to have the talent to be able to to both parts of the quilt yourself!! I just got the pattern in the mail this week--I just had to order it after I was this!!

I love different shades of brown in a quilt. I have to tell you the choice of thread makes it beautiful. It enhances the quilt and your quilting makes it more beautiful. Does this quilt have a name? I know you said the quilting is of your own design. But the pattern is pretty awesome too. Very nice job.
