My DH has one on order! But I told him that it won't be ready until next year; I have about 4 quilts ahead of this one. Nice win today for the Steelers after the loss with the Patriots last week. Thanks for sharing.

I also a Steeler fan, lived in Pa for 25 years of my life. Had to move because of the enonomy but we do visit often. I want to make a quilt like this for my husbands cousin. Is yours flanel....I will check back to see and in the mean time you did a great job with this quilt.

Thanks.
The Steeler fabric is cotton, not flannel.
The odd thing is I took the black Steeler fabric with me when I was buying the yellow for the sashings and borders. I wanted it to match the color of the lettering which is slightly orangey.
Then 1/2 way through the piecing I altered my layout and wanted to put the center panel in. When it arrived (I bought it online) the background is more yellow. Odd. You'd think all the colors on licensed fabrics would be the same shade.
My DGS is only 8, he won't notice. But it bothers me, lol.

Where online did you get the center panel? I would love to see if they have one for the Pittsburgh Penquins also!

I bought it on ebay but, after I paid for it, I googled
"steelers pillow panels" and found it there for less.
Good luck. I'm sure you'll be able to find it somewhere. All the teams seem to have their own fabrics.

thanks everyone for the compliments.
I'm not a football fan so I wasn't very interested in looking at Steeler fabric day after day, but you know how you'll do anything for grandkids.lol....This layout is probably the 4th one I drew up and went together fast except for the sashing cornerstones. I don't work with small pieces (1" each color) of fabric very well so it slowed me way down. I should have paper pieced it. Just FYI!!! :D :D

My Son would love that Quilt. I have some 4x4 blocks of the Steelers and I was waiting to see some others for ideals and you just gave me some so thank you.
Very nice job... :P
