Hi everyone. I have been off the board for awhile. I really missed you guys.
    and all the wonderful quilts.

These are 2 wall hangings. Storm at Sea. then I wanted to see
what it would look like with the points in the border. I don't think
it shows the wave of the pattern as well. But I was playing.
    thx for looking.

I tend to see the large diamond they form more than the wave in #2, but both are beautiful. Love your colors too!!

These are beautiful. I, too, like it without the border points. The points really make the stars stand out. Thank you for showing the difference. It has been on my bucket list since the first time I saw it. I think it should be the next one I make. What size did you make yours? How difficult was it? I am a self-taught quilter of beginning skill. Did you use a special pattern, or the one on Quilter's Cache? Any special tips?

Both are beautiful. First shows motion, second doesn't. I like both of them. Wonderful work on both.

Love the look of the complete star! I am currently working on a project that I will need to do some drafting to get all the points where I want them to show. Thanks!

Isn't it interesting how the same blocks form completely different quilts with the addition of those points! I love them both.

judy. it is paper pieced and i got it on line at generationquilting.com then shrunk it some to make the wall hanging. it is truly so so easy. but have never done more than 3colors.. biggest advice is print out the coloring sheet. you need to color it for layout and questions pm me.

The first one has more motion to me. The stars are prominent in the 2nd. Think I like the 1st better.

I like them both! So much so I recreated this pattern in EQ7 and have it on my bucket list. I like your idea and will be doing a bit of fine tuning to the design before I start it. Thanks for sharing!

I prefer the second also, though it does tend to drop th wave pattern.

Both wonderful work -- alot of motion in the first, as expected ! And there's that perfect circle formed in the second -- an unexpected result? Thanks for sharing these -- the same pattern, such different looks.
