Wow, great quilt! No wonder your husband claimed it!

I'm loving strip quilts more and more. If I ever get past Christmas and finish the wonky UFO that I've been trying to finish for months, I may have to try one.

I love your quilt, is it your own pattern, did you design it yourself. It must have taken forever to quilt. Thank you for sharing.

Thank you everyone for the kind words. I had seen a picture of this pattern, but don't remember where it was. I cut 12 inch pieces of muslin and sewed my strips onto that. Then I cut those blocks into 5.5 x 5.5 inch squares and mismatched 4 of them into blocks that measured 10 1/2 inches unfinished. The white blocks are cut 5 1/2 inches and snowballed with 3 1/2 inch squares on opposite corners, then sewn in units of 4 to create the other 10 1/2 inch block. Mine is 8 x 10 blocks and when I quilted it, I had 4 x 5 block segments with the batting and backing basted together. Once quilted, I joined the units by machine sewing the top, and hand sewing the backing at each joint, and then quilting the pattern into those joined blocks. I hope that makes sense - it is always difficult for me to describe things on paper.

Love your quilt. I've done a couple of string quilts, but they didn't have any background (your white). This is much, much nicer!

Thank you for sharing.
