Thanks for sharing your experience with quilting without batting. It is quite helpful information. Your quilts are beautiful. I'm wanting a summer quilt w/out cotton batting. I am using flannel instead of batting for stabilization. Hope it works the way I have it in my mind. Nothing ventured nothing gained is an old saying of mine.

Your quilts are lovely! A few days ago I found a hand pieced quilt at a moving sale that had no batting in it. It was folded and stuffed in a zip lock bag so you couldn't see it. The best $10 I've spent in a while.

You did a lovely job. I really like the soft colors and patterns on the OBW quilt.

Both quilts are beautiful. Your timing to post these was perfect for me as I'm in the middle of making a quilt/spread without batting. Do you have any tips for me when it comes to putting the top with the backing & quilting it? Right now I'm still making my blocks so have a ways to go yet. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
