think you ladies, for replying about the FWQ. i bought the book and joined the yahoo group FWQ. they give the paper piece patterns. the book gives the good pic's of what they are suppose to look like. i've printed off the the lst dozen PP patterns from the yahoo group, but haven't started them yet. catching up on a few other things first.

Quilters: I couldn't stop myself. I was going to look at just a few pages, but couldn't put down the mouse...LOL! I am in absolute awe of the beautiful quilts. I view each as a work of art, making you all artists. Some quilts stunned me, others left me speechless. I couldn't stop. It would be just too difficult to pick just one as my favorite. I saved some of them for my quilt ideas folders (ones I want to try someday) and some I saved just so I could look at them again. I am so grateful for this board.

it's been about a year, since I questioned all you ladies about the FWQ. I took the summer off from sewing, didn't even pick up a needle in like 3/4 months. started again yesterday. I did #57 and #53 block of the FWQ. I was considering not doing a lot of them, and just filling them in with easier blocks. but decided to just plug along and do them as the book said. having fun . maybe i'll get a pic of my blocks sometime soon, but this is stunning quilts I have done. and it's not done!!!

My favorite quilt so far is my avatar. It is Carol Doaks 50 paper pieced stars. I did it with a group on here. It was something I had been wanting to do for some time. There is another group starting in JAnuary. It is all paper pieced. I love to paper piece. Hopefully me next quilt is either Judy Neimeyers mariners compass or a bargello.
