There are indeed lots of variations of the log cabin in Judy Martin's book. There are also excellent sewing directions and hints on keeping the pieces organized.

Oh dunster,your Summer Lake Log Cabin is just gorgeous. Now I think I want to make one. I'm trying to come up with a pattern for my nieces quilt. This one just might do. And I just happen to have that book. Thank you for the idea and inspiration. You do beautiful work.

dunster, what book is this from? I thought I had it my Judy Hopkins Log Cabin book, but I can't find it. I really love this pattern. You did a beautiful job.

It's Judy Martin. I ordered it from Amazon and got it Saturday. Some great quilts and settings for log cabins in it!!!

Thanks. I wanted a bigger quilt, which is why I changed the layout. I also changed the Greek key blocks somewhat.
