Here is the frame when I was quilting my bargello.

When I'm not quilting, I have two doors on top. On one I place my ironing board and the other my cutting mat. It's higher than my dining room table so is easier on my back.

When guests come over, I shove everything under it (all sewing stuff) and place a sheet over it and it becomes a luggage rack for guests. The picture of quilt is when it was on the guest bed, which is normally shoved into the corner.

Here is the link for the frame: http://buildaquiltingframe.weebly.com/index.html

I found it on YouTube by the Missouri Quilt Co. They used jelly rolls but I cut strips from various batik fabrics.

It takes 6 strips (2.5" by WOF) for a strip set: 3 colored and 3 white (or light). You get 6 squares from a strip set. Each square is 8.5" (8" finished size). The quilt is 12 X 12 blocks. It was 96" square before the border. I used a thin 1" light border and a 4" darker border. I wasn't going to use borders, but as the blocks are all cut on the bias, I thought I should put them on to stabilize it before quilting.

So to answer your question, this quilt contains 144 strips (2.5 by WOF).
    Hope this helps.
