I made a winter quilt for my Aunt last fall and while there asked me if I would be interested in a weaving loom. I pondered that over and decided sure...so I called her to see if the offer was still available. Yup..so my husband and I made plans to pick it up. I decided to make her a Summer quilt to take with us. Here it is. We already bought it up and took home the loom. I have yet to try it, but will soon. I still have so many quilt projects to get done...I need more time for my hobbies ; )

It is very pretty with a fresh look. I like your binding using the same fabrics. Your aunt is a lucky lady to have you as a niece.

Very nice!! I love the floral stitching on the front. Would you be able to share a picture of the binding from the back? I'm working on my first decorative stitching binding right now. I'm curious if I'm doing it ok.

So sorry...the quilt has already been delivered and its 3 hours away. I will see if I have another one around here to show you. I just delivered 4 quilts. I will see if I did that on my baby quilt.

Very lovely quilt. I like how your binding stitching matches your fabric choices. I'm sure your Aunt was really pleased to get a second quilt from you.

That quilt is fresh as a daisy! I'm sure your aunt is delighted. I'm curious about what you used for batting. I assume that by summer quilt you mean one that is lighter weight?

I use warm and natural batting for both but for the winter quilt I used flannel for the backing and for the summer quilt I used white cotton.
